El presente progresivo, también llamado el presente continuo, se forma con el verbo :BE + (verb+ing).

El Presente Progresivo es un tiempo verbal que se utiliza para expresar acciones que suceden en el mismo momento en que se está hablando. 

por ejemplo:

• I am speaking English- Yo estoy hablando inglés.
• You are reading a book- Tú estás leyendo un libro.

• STRUCTURE (ESTRUCTURA)

La estructura del presente progresivo es una combinación de dos verbos, uno es el verbo "to be" y el otro es el verbo que indica la acción, este terminando con "ing".

Subject + Verb To Be + Verb (ing)

I am runing

• FORM POSITIVE

(FORMA POSITIVA)

SUJECT + VERB AUX + VERB (ING) + COMPLEMENT

• We are having lunch.
  (Estamos almorzando.)

• The kids are sleeping in the house. 
  (Los niños están durmiendo en la casa.)

AFFIRMATIVE
I am You are He is She is It is We are You are They are	I am learning English You are reading a magazine He is playing basketball She is watching TV It is running in the park We are eating ice cream You are drinking sodas They are listening to the teacher

• FORM NEGATIVE 

(FORMA NEGATIVA)

SUJECT + VERB AUX-NOT + VERB (ING) + COMPLEMENT

• We are not  having lunch.
  (No Estamos almorzando.)

• The kids are no  sleeping in the house. 
  (Los niños no están durmiendo en la casa.)

NEGATIVE
I am not You are not He is not  She is not It is not We are not You are not They are not	I am not learning English You are not reading a magazine He is not playing basketball She is not watching TV It is not running in the park We are not eating ice cream You are not drinking sodas They are not listening to the teacher

• FORM INTERROGATIVE

(FORMA INTERROGATIVA) (Yes/not question)

VERB AUX + SUJECT + VERB (ING) + COMPLEMENT + ?

• Are we  having lunch?
  ( Estamos nosotros  almorzando?)

• Are they  sleeping in the house 
  (Están durmiendo ellos en la casa ?.)

INTERROGATIVE
Am I Are You Is He Is she Is It Are We Are You Are They	Am I learning Englis? Are You reading a magazine? Is He playing basketball? Is She watching TV? Is It running in the park? Are We eating ice cream? Are You drinking sodas? Are They listening to the teacher?

• (Inf. Question)

W.H + AUX + SUBJECT + V- ING + COMPLEMENT + ?

• What are we  having lunch?
  ( Estamos nosotros  almorzando?)
